Topical Jokes

Every weekday morning Charlie reads the online editions of The Daily Telegraph, The Sun, The New York Times, New York Newsday and the Toronto Star. He write jokes based on the big international stories and those items that centre on where his subscribers work. There’s usually a good mix of political, Royal and sports gags with some TV and entertainment jokes as well. The agreement is for at least 12 brand new topicals every day delivered by 11am.

Charlie is still a gag writer, whatever happens, and he writes best when he’s coming up with stand-up material. He’s written for a whole host of comedy performers both here and in America and is renowned for his reliability.

Charlie has many ideas for sitcoms and is currently developing a sitcom for Television. He has been commissioned to write several episodes of, as yet, unmade series. You can take a look at a sample script here.
